The everyday food for Malawi cichlids
Premium Malawi Formula is our daily granule for Lake Malawi cichlids. At 37% protein from LT94 whole fish meal and krill it is lighter than Pro Colour, so it is a safe everyday food for Mbuna as well as Peacocks and Haps in a mixed tank. Spirulina, kelp, chlorella and algae sit high in the recipe, just as they would in the lake. We developed it alongside experienced Malawi keepers and breeders.
Best for: Mbuna, mixed Malawi tanks, and Peacocks and Haps as a staple.
Why keepers use it
- Highly digestible and low waste, so cleaner water between changes
- Prebiotic inulin to support digestion
- Spirulina, algae and natural astaxanthin from Haematococcus algae (70 mg/kg) for colour
- Plant rich: kelp, chlorella, pea, spinach and alfalfa alongside marine protein
- Multivitamin rich, including stable vitamin C (330 mg/kg) for general condition
